Mankind has the ability to discover, comprehend how the environment operates. This is done through observing existing phenomena and through experimentation. The scientific method tries to explain the events of nature in a reproducible way. It uses these reproductions to make useful process that include healing methods and process.
Come to think about it, before the widespread influence of western-based medical practices, our ancestors are already practicing certain types of healing process.
Below are what I consider as alternative healing professions and careers:
1. Naturopaths. These pros uses natural healing modes such as herbs and Acupuncture. Acupuncture is an ancient East Asian healing method. The treatment method involves inserting very slim needles into the body to bring about healing. An Acupuncturist is a medical professional who is trained in Acupuncture.
3. Reiki healer. This method is a Japanese art of healing using the universal energy source. Ki is the Japanese word for Chi or Qi in Chinese.
Some healers uses crystals for some of the healing works. Common crystals includes pyrite, amethyst, obsidian.
